Chef Murthi’s Elaneer Thulasi Panakam(Tender Basil Cooler)

It is one of the best starter or welcome drink and above all fantastic Immune Booster.

It can be prepared in simple way given below.

Active Ingredients required for preparation:-

  • Tender Coconut Water – 2 with soft coconut( malai)
  • Lemon – 2 nos
  • Thulasi ( holy basil ) – 5 spring /handful of leaves
  • Cardamom – 5 nos
  • Sugar – 4 teaspoons
  • Ginger – 1 pic small
  • Club Soda ( may be added as optional) – 50 ml

Preparation Method

Step 1
Pour tender coconut water into a large bowl.
Squeeze the juice of 1⁄2 lemon, honey,cardamom and ginger.
Mix well.
Keep in refrigerator.


Step 2
Scoop out the soft coconut (malai) from the tender coconut.
Add it in in the cold prepared Coconut juice.
Add few ice cubes in the glass.

Now Chef Murthi’s Elaneer Thulasi Panakam(Tender Basil Cooler) is ready.
Start serve it as chilled.

    Why don’t we add up frsh mint leaves in this. That’s make taste and presentation better.

    Any reason to avoiid?

      You can add mint but it will change the taste as like lemon juice. You may check and send your comments.
